The Maverick can be sailed by two people and can also be sailed singlehanded. On one hand, a child as light as 35kg can handle a Maverick, and on the other the Maverick has capacity to carry 145kg, meaning that two children or an adult and child can sail together.
The hull is deceptively spacious and has the same cockpit capacity as some more expensive rivals. The unrivalled Topaz TRILAM construction produces a supremely durable hull with high levels of buoyancy. At just 43kg, the hull is also impressively lightweight making the boat manageable afloat and ashore even for young children.
The Maverick dinghy comes with 5.00m mainsail for juniors with no battens so it can be reefed or a 6.25m battened sail for adults. The hard wearing 5.00m Dacron mainsail is favoured by first-time sailors and holiday companies. The Maverick is simple and lightweight enough to be operated by a child single-handedly, although the Maverick is often used as a two person Dinghy there is the unique option to change the rig to a windsurfer for those windy days or a stand up paddleboard when there is no wind.
The Maverick is capable of dealing with all the knocks and bumps of beginner sailing. The self-draining cockpit and buoyancy tubes (when in Dinghy mode) ensures that the Maverick it extremely safe to sail.
The Maverick comes with the highest specification equipment fitted as standard making the Maverick a pleasure to sail in either mode dinghy or windsurfer keeping gear failure to an absolute minimum. The Maverick also comes with a 3-year hull warranty.
HASSLE-FREE MAINTENANCE
The hi-tech roto-moulded polyethylene hull is unsinkable and far stronger and longer lasting than other boats on the market. The hull is virtually indestructible, even against the harshest knocks and scrapes inflicted by novices. But, in the unlikely need of a repair, the workability of polyethylene makes any repairs effortless. Tried and tested fittings and fixtures ensure that failures are kept to a minimum.
